Meet my sweet little fox, enjoying the serenity of the nearby woods on a beautiful snowy evening. I imagined a fox coming out of the woods around dusk, soaking up the moonlight before she heads out for its evening hunt.
One of my favorite things to do in the winter woods is just stop and observe for a moment: watch the snow fall, notice the texture in the trees now that their leaves have dropped, listen to the stillness. When I carved this image (right around the winter solstice), I wanted to capture that quiet peace that is unique to the season.
This is a two color print, on lush, 100% cotton paper. Created from two separate linoleum blocks. Easily fits into a standard matte or frame.
