Rochester based artist Chris Charles’ bird series started simply with what she was seeing at her feeder or while walking around her neighborhood. As she began to see the birds personalities emerge, Chris strived to capture those traits in her prints.

Ithaca based artist Alice Muhlback created her work for the exhibit using her imagination in a poetic migration of characters. Alice visited Chris at the community print shop she works out of, Flower City Arts Center in Rochester, NY, in November 2023 to work on full sheet monotypes (22x 30 inches). With Chris and the Flower City Arts Center’s assistance Alice created monotypes for “Migratory”.
