Empowering Quote by Girl Scout Founder, Juliette Gordon Low
I made this small edition of prints while working with a couple of Girl Scout Troops here in town. Juliette Gordon Low was the founder of the Girl Scouts, an organization that has easily changed the lives of thousands of women over the past 100+ years.
The Girls Scouts have always been near and dear to me, and my family (my Mom was a leader for many years, and is a lifetime member). I was a scout starting in 3rd grade all the way through my senior year of high school. It created some of my best childhood memories, including my dad teaching a group of us how to change the oil on our Dodge Aspen station wagon!
I used hand-set wood type that we printed on the old Vandercook printing presses I use for most of my prints. Each girl printed there own print, then later I printed the edition I am selling here.
100% of the sales of this print will be donated to the Girl Scouts of America. Thanks for supporting such a wonderful and important organization!
**Please Note*** This is printed on fluorescent green paper, which is in no way archival. It will most likely start to fade if exposed to light! Enjoy the every changing shades of green :)
