Foggy Morning, Full Of Possibilities • Monotype and Linocut Fine Art Print

This particular monotype is a bit extra compared to the others. I actually started it over 10 years ago at a workshop with Jim Sherraden, who at the time was running Hatch Show Print (if you're ever in Nashville you need to visit!). He brought a bunch of vintage printing blocks from Hatch, so there's some images in there that are easily 100 years old!

After the workshop I added another layer or two but wasn't happy with it, so into a drawer it went. It wasn't until I started my crow series that I remembered it! I added several more layers and love how it turned out. Some things just take time....

My love affair with Crows continues with this monotype series. I am endlessly fascinated with these intelligent, social birds. I'm lucky to have a few that hang out in my neighborhood. I often see them hanging out on my neighbor's roof while I'm working in my gardens- I like to think they're keeping an eye out for me.

Each monotype is a unique, one-of-a-kind piece. The background layers are made without the use of a press, then the crow linocut is printed on a press. Even then however, I am manipulating the ink after it has been printed.

Please Note: This monotype is flush mounted to board, matted and framed in an 18x24" frame. Price includes shipping to the lower 48 US states.
