The first edition I made of a Hummingbird sold out FAST, so I decided it was time for a second version. I missed having these zippy little guys in my booth at shows!
This five color print on lush, 100% cotton paper was created from a woodcut and a 4 color linoleum cut. Three of the colors started as a reduction cut, then there was one more carved block to get the bright ruby red. Reduction cuts are made by carving into the same block, thereby destroying the block as it is printed. That means there is no going back and reprinting the image!
Print easily fits into an 8” x 10” mat or frame.
Matted print will fit in an 11" x 14" frame
