It wasn't until I visited my parents in Florida one winter that I saw my very first mockingbird. Shortly after that I started to see (and hear) them everywhere, even my own neighborhood back in NY! I love how sleek they look, with that tail pointing up at such a striking angle. This past winter I was back visiting my parents in Florida and had one keeping me company late into the night as I worked out on the patio. They know a fan when they see one!
This five color print on lush, 100% cotton paper was created from one wood block for the background, and a four color reduction cut linoleum blocks for the bird. Reduction cuts are made by carving into the same piece of linoleum, thereby destroying the block as it is printed. That means there is no going back and reprinting the image!
Easily fits into an 8” x 10” mat or frame.
Matted print will fit in an 11" x 14" frame
