Daisy, linocut fine art print

This is a very special print for many reasons, but mainly the subject- my beloved dog Daisy. I've wanted to do a print of her since I first fell into letterpress, but it took some years for me to build my carving skills and gain the confidence that I could do her justice. The composition comes from a picture I took of her at home, snoozing away. Since she loved sitting outside, I put her underneath my favorite tree, a birch I planted when we first moved into my house.

This two color linocut is a variable edition, having been printed on two different types of paper and two different color variations. While the lime green references the hope and energy of spring, the gold represents autumn- slowing down and taking in nature's beautiful show of colors.

The lime/black combination is available on Mohawk Via Vellum "flax", 80lb - a beautiful natural colored paper with noticeable fibers running through it. Edition of 100.
The golden yellow/black combinations is available on Cranes Lettra Flourescent White, 300gm - a soft, 100% cotton paper that takes a deep impression and creates a velvety ink. Edition of 170.

Print measures 8” wide x 10” tall for easy framing and matting.

As with all hand printed items, variations in color and texture may occur.
